Small details excite me!

It really is the small stuff that makes things so worth while.  That seems to be my mantra these days but it is so true; like this darling little rug I found for in front of my kitchen sink.  And while you are admiring it take a look at those gorgeous wood floors….

This rug is a hand hooked wool rug with an over-sized lemon and apple design.  It really highlights the red accents found in not only my granite but also the welting on the leather chairs in the adjoining sitting room.  You can purchase this same rug from Rugs, USA with free shipping and no sales tax, which makes it worth the wait for mail.

About hayniedi

What about me? In a nutshell I am a middle-aged interior designer and freelance writer, mother of an amazing 27 year old daughter, wife to my semi-retired lawyer husband and step-grandma to two delicious babies. From my earliest memories I have been fascinated with interior decorating and love to share my passion for beautiful rooms with anyone who will listen. Join me on this blog as my husband and I enter our empty nest years and move back into the first home we bought when we were first married that has been a rental for the past 15 years. I will share our experience with remodeling as well as other ideas and thoughts that I hope will inspire you.

Thanks for stopping by The Buzz today and for your great comment. We love your tip about a small amount of black; the color acts like an anchor in the room. Happy weekend!
