What does the fox say?

Have you  heard this song?

A silly ass song but for some reason I love the beat, the words etc and if you check out Derek Hough’s choreography of it on Dancing With the Stars, it is really a fun ride!

But what does all this silliness have to do with design or interior decor?  Well I have been wondering why the fox motif is everywhere this year and I guess it is due to this goofy song.  Like owls, birds and other critters have been in the past, foxes can be found on clothing, home decor, collectibles, jewelry and artwork in every price range imaginable.  Here are some foxy decorating suggestions that will fit nicely into your fall and even holiday decorating and entertaining.

This fox handled tray has been on both mine and my daughter’s wish list for a while.  Keep waiting for it to go on sale but don’t think that is going to happen so will just have to bite the bullet and buy it anyway; maybe as a hostess gift for my daughter on Thanksgiving but, SHHHH,  don’t tell!

Through the use of novelty fabrics and wallpaper, you can enjoy this trend without going overboard as seen in this whimsical fabric from Robert Kaufman.  How cute for a young boy’s bedroom, throw pillows in a den or library or window treatments in a rustic cottage or mountain retreat.

Speaking of kids, do you know a little boy who would love a room like this one designed by Reath Design?  Not sure if that is a wolf or a fox but who cares when it is so damn cute!

For those of you who love to collect, don’t feel left out.  Jay Strongwater offers an adorable little fox statue with his signature crystal embellishments that will delight all fox lovers.

Any of these rustic ornaments from Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn and West Elm can adorn your Thanksgiving or Christmas table.  And how fun are these collectible and custom napkin rings available from The Enchanted Home?  The perfect hostess gift  (hint, hint)

Does anyone else enjoy the song as much as I do or am I all alone?  How do you feel about this “fox” trend or any other animal trend that seems to take hold and, before you know it, you are surrounded by forest animals?
